Torpedoed

1918. 18 March.

Diving Notes:

Transits are approximate, pick them up then do circular search with anchor just off sea bed.

Site can be dived at any state of the tide. Plaice, skate and scallops in the area.

Generally, the marine life on the "BAGGY" is breathtaking, shoals the size of which we rarely see in the UK. There are conger eels, on almost every ledge or in crevices, waiting for an unsuspecting fish. The scallop beds are massive.

Search the Archive

Here is the database entry which corresponds with your search criteria.

Enter the name of the vessel you would like to search for in the bar below, e.g. MAINE, Maine or maine then click SEARCH. Do not use the prefix 'THE'.

If you are unsure about how this works, try entering the name of a vessel from the slide show below.

If the record shows the ships name followed by a number, such as SHIP NAME (2) This indicates that there is more than one vessel recorded by that name. As far as possible we have tried to keep the numbers coincidental with date order. Try entering the name followed by a number e.g. SHIP NAME (1)
